Spain, Catalonia region: the resort town of Cambrils is taking another important step towards creating barrier-free and comfortable beaches for all vacationers 🌊♿️
In the summer season of 2026, new adapted bathing areas will be installed on the beaches of Ardiaca and Llosa for the elderly, tourists with limited mobility and guests who need additional comfort and safe access to the sea. The new locations will be open from June 15 to September 15.
Among the main innovations:
🪑 Special seats with a canopy right in the water for comfortable relaxation
🚶♂️ Stainless steel handrails for safe entry into the sea
🔹 Lifeline with buoys for additional support while swimming
💪 Spaces adapted for rehabilitation exercises and mobility training
♿️ Improved infrastructure for tourists with special needs
In addition, a new bathing platform for approximately 20 places will be installed on Llosa beach, which will make access to the water even more comfortable, safe and convenient for all guests of the resort.
