Rovinj is a city in Croatia, on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula, one of the 9 largest cities of the peninsula.
The old town of Rovinj is located on a drop-shaped peninsula with a cathedral in its center.
The archipelago of the city, which offers a wonderful panorama from the coastline of its historic center, has 22 islands, among which the largest and most picturesque are the islands of St. Andrew and St. Catherine.
The new part of the city is stretched along the coast to the north and south of the peninsula.
