The ancient walled city is one of the liveliest and most beautiful on the Riviera with its laid-back beach atmosphere, thriving port and delightful old town with narrow cobbled streets, markets and cafés.
Famous for being the home of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso, Antibes has certainly seen its share of glitz, glamor and touches of the avant-garde throughout the 20th century.

Picasso Museum

The Pablo Picasso Museum, founded in 1946, is located in the Grimaldi Castle.
The place was not chosen by chance - it was there that the founder of Cubism created his works.
In Antibes, Picasso came for inspiration and received it in full.
For about six months, the old meter painted canvases in the walls of the castle, and then simply disappeared.
However, he left behind a good creative legacy in the form of 25 paintings dedicated to the cape and the city itself.
Nowadays, in addition to them, the museum also stores other works of art - interesting photographs, ceramics, graphics, paintings, lithographs, works of famous world artists.

The most famous water park in the city

Aquasplash is one of the most visited places on Cape Antibes in France.
The total length of its slides is 2,000 m. Among them there are options for both children and adults.
The first can shoot from water cannons, swim on inflatable "balls", take part in games on the island of pirates.
Adult visitors can expect an exciting descent from a turbo pipe, a vertical attraction Side Winder, a giant whirlpool, etc.
Also, several times a day, experienced trainers conduct aerobics classes.

Antibes beaches

The beaches of Antibes are considered not only the main natural attraction of this city, but also an exclusive recreation area, because it is here that the villas of today's richest people are located.
The beginning of the beach season starts at the end of spring, when the water in the Mediterranean warms up to +16...+18°C. True, most tourists prefer to sunbathe, only the most hardened swim at this time.

  • Juan-les-Pins is a central city beach, located next to a pine grove and covered with soft fine sand. This is a great place to relax with children. Firstly, it is located in the depths of the quiet Gulf of Juan. Secondly, there is a lot of entertainment here. A butterfly park, an oceanarium, a water park, etc. are waiting for you.
  • Juan-les-Pins beach - night bars, cafes, trendy boutiques and coffee shops, built along the Promenade du Soleil, open 24 hours a day. The waves are calm, the descent into the water is gentle, the sea has a blue tint. Near the shore, it is very shallow, convenient for children. In the summer season, the safety of vacationers is monitored by the rescue service. There are toilets, changing rooms and showers on the territory. Water sports equipment, umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented.
  • Du Pontay is a beautiful sandy beach with a picturesque panorama of the Alps. Small and shallow, safe for children. The water is clean, if you look closely, you can see fish. The only downside is jellyfish, and a lot of algae gathers near the edge. And tourists emphasize the presence of garbage.
  • Beach Du Ponte - for a comfortable rest, you can rent a deck chair with an umbrella. There are benches in the shade along the entire shore. There are no problems with food - the "Royal Beach" restaurant and the "Poseidon" kiosk-cafe are open. There is also a hotel with its own coastal area.
  • Du Ponte is quite narrow, there are a lot of people in the season, it is better to come earlier. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer. Toilets are free, there are showers, but many do not work due to a lack of fresh water.
