Borjomi is a world-famous balneological resort located in southwestern Georgia, at an altitude of 800-850 meters above sea level. The climate of Borjomi is mild, moderately humid. Winter here is usually not very harsh, summer is cool.
The Borjomi gorge is a unique resort known for its healing mineral water springs, the composition of which is similar to such springs as Vichy Grande-Grille and Obersalzbrunnen (Silesian spring).
Borjomi waters are rich in trace elements necessary for life. There are dozens of different springs and each one has its own unique taste and temperature. The healing properties of the water have been well known to the locals since ancient times, as evidenced by the stone baths recently discovered here.
The main healing factor is clean air and mineral springs, the healing qualities of which are world famous. Spring water is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases, as well as for metabolic disorders in the body. The resort season lasts all year round. But its peak falls on the period from April to October.
