Gonio is a Black Sea resort in western Georgia. The distance from Batumi is 15 km. On the opposite side from the sea, the resort is surrounded by beautiful mountains with natural springs and waterfalls. Among the sights near the coastal zone, the Gonio fortress (1st century) and its exhibition hall should be noted first of all.
