Pieria (Πιερία) is part of the northeastern coast of mainland Greece. The rich nature and history of this area, convenient transport links with Thessaloniki and Athens attract foreign tourists. The Greeks themselves prefer to rest on the islands. Only residents of the nearest big cities (Volos, Larisa, Thessaloniki) come here for the weekend.
The coast is full of lights of villages and small towns. The most famous of them are Paralia Kateryni, Litochoro, Platamon, Leptokaria, Nei Pori.
