What to see in Portofino
- Church of San Martino. The church was built in the 11th century in the Lombard Romanesque style; owes its current appearance to interventions since the 1800s.
- The Church of San Giorgio is a small church built on the rock of a picturesque cape. During its history, this church was destroyed several times, since it was built in 1154. Inside this church, the relics of St. George are kept in a shrine excavated under the main altar of the church.
- Brown Castle. The fortress of Manarola was built in the twelfth century to protect the village from raids by Saracen pirates. Later it became the real core of the ancient country. Today, some parts are still well-preserved and visible, others have been incorporated by houses located on the seashore.
- Punta del Capo Lighthouse. The last stop of the walk is the Faro di Punta del Capo: a view that will take your breath away.
