Kosgoda is a small town 65 kilometers from Colombo. To the south of Kosgoda is Akhungalla beach, to the north is Induruva beach.
As a Kosgoda resort, it attracts lovers of quiet and secluded recreation, as the Kosgoda beach is characterized by few people and the absence of noisy entertainment.
The main attraction of Kosgoda Beach is the sea turtle farm, one of the most famous in Sri Lanka. The turtle farm in Kosgoda is open to tourists throughout the year: the price of the entrance ticket includes a short sightseeing tour of the farm territory, as well as the opportunity to communicate with the turtles: you can pet them, feed them and take pictures. Sometimes in the evening, visitors can also take part in the release of small three-day-old turtles into the ocean.
