Side - a city built in the era of Ancient Greece, today is one of the most popular resorts in the province of Antalya. The tourist season opens here in April and ends in October. Side is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and rainy winters. The warmest and sunniest period in the resort town is the period from the end of June to the middle of September, when the daytime air temperature does not fall below 30 °, and the water temperature in the sea is kept within 28-29 °.
HOW TO GET
The road from the airport in Antalya takes 1.5 - 2 hours. Tourists can use taxi services, for this it is enough to leave the airport terminal and go to the taxi stand. In order to get to Side by public transport, which is much cheaper, you first need to get to the bus station of the city of Manavgat. Then you can get on minibuses, or as the locals call them - dolmuş from the center of Manavgat or a bus. Side is conveniently located 2 km from the main highway of the Turkish Mediterranean.
ENTERTAINMENT AND SIGHTS
The most important attraction of Side is the ancient city. Here, the ruins of ancient fortifications, columns and buildings are scattered among hotels and shops. The most famous buildings of ancient Side: amphitheater, temple of Athena and Apollo, agora, gate of Vespasian. Many of the tourist attractions are over 2000 years old and it's impressive.

Green Canyon is a must-visit for all nature lovers. This reservoir was created as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric power station. The depth is about 100 meters. It is constantly filled with numerous sources. The water here is cool, as the canyon is located in the mountains. Amazing landscapes, turquoise water and the cleanest air will leave a lot of positive emotions. Having taken an excursion to the Green Canyon, on the way you will visit several more destroyed, uninhabitable, ancient cities - Perga, Seleucia.

Most of the accommodation options in Side are represented by hotels, there are also apartments and guest houses, but there are very few of them. Almost all hotels are within walking distance of the sea and operate on the "all inclusive" system, some have their own beaches. The resort has many 5 * hotels - large complexes with the appropriate level of service, swimming pools, water parks and various additional options. There are both inexpensive three-star hotels and luxury five-star hotels. Service in hotels is at the highest level.
