The city is located on the banks of the Shklo River, in the Yavoriv district of the Lviv region. Initially, Novoyavorivsk was a village, which later received the status of a city.
Today, it is an intensively developing district center with a large number of enterprises, economic potential and pleasant residents who have made the city famous for their high sports and cultural achievements. It was in this beautiful city that the legendary singer Andriy Kuzmenko, the leader of the Scriabin group, began his career.
For more than 20 years, the international festival "Young Halychyna" has been held here annually, at which such artists as Tina Karol, Mika Newton, Kateryna Buzhynska and others took prize places.
As in any other city, there are interesting places that are worth visiting. The beautiful church of St. Yuri of 1715 represents a historical and architectural value of incredible beauty. It was moved here by residents of a neighboring village in 1993.
The church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, the construction of which lasted from 1991 to 1996, should be included among the younger monuments of Novoyavorivsk. In the very center of the city are the remains of a monument to the soldiers of the Polish army.
