The total area of Zalizny Port is about 2,170 square kilometers, the date of its foundation is 1922. According to one version, the village owes its name to a hundred-meter iron pier, which was used to load grain and fish onto small ships. According to the stories of local residents, over time the pier was swallowed up by the sea, and the name Iron Port remained unchanged, despite the fact that there was no port in the village as such and there is still no.
Climate
The climate at the resort is moderately continental, with hot and dry summers. Iron Port has the advantage of low average annual rainfall. Thanks to the humid sea air, the summer heat on the coast is much easier to bear than in urban conditions.
The resort is located in the steppe zone bordering the Black Sea coast. Due to its location, Zaliznyi Port is characterized by healing air, which results from the mixing of air masses - dry, brought from the southern Taurian steppes and moist sea, enriched with iodine and bromine.
The coastline within the resort is flat. There are no bays and bays here, so the calm can very quickly change to a storm, and vice versa. Near the shore, the depth of the sea is shallow, the water warms up quite quickly. The average temperature of sea water in Zaliznyi Port in summer is + 20- + 23 degrees C.
Infrastructure
The Iron Port is oriented towards the seasonal reception of tourists, almost all new buildings are commercial in nature. The highlight of the resort is a concrete embankment with unusual lighting.
Food and industrial goods stores, markets, take-out points, pharmacies, cafes, bars, discotheques, nightclubs and other establishments are concentrated mainly along the coast, mixed with private boarding houses and hotels. There is an amusement park right on the beach. In addition, there are rest areas equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas (rental fee) along the entire coast.
There is also a bus station, 3 branches of PrivatBank and ATMs in Zalizny Port. Medical service on the territory of the resort is provided by a medical center.
As you move away from the sea, as well as from the center in the direction of the biosphere reserve along the coastline, the density of buildings and the number of infrastructure facilities decreases significantly.
Entertainment and Nightlife
In Zalizny Port there are 2 water parks "Aqualand" of the network of the same name and an open mini water park with several descents, located right on the beach.
