The city of Berdyansk is a popular resort city of Ukraine, a real pearl of the Sea of Azov. Recently, the city acquired the status of a state-important resort and still remains a favorite vacation spot for many Ukrainians and guests from near abroad.
Berdyansk resort is a large port city with a well-developed urban and resort infrastructure. The seafront is equipped with a modern promenade with lanterns, shops, catering and souvenir shops. The business card of the city is the gazebo of lovers with a view of the port, located here.
Berdyansk can be conditionally divided into three parts: Nagirna (where all the industrial facilities of the city and the sleeping quarters of local residents are concentrated), Nizhnya (considered the administrative and business center of the resort. Entertainment centers, shopping facilities, main administrative city institutions are concentrated here) and Kosu .
Kosa, as a full-fledged part of the city, is also divided into three parts: Near, Middle and Far.
Near braid of medium width, up to two kilometers. On the west coast, on the side of Berdyansk Bay, there are many shallow salty estuaries and lakes with healing mud. In this part of the spit, there are several children's sports camps and the large Berdyansk water park "Cape of Good Hope". On the side of the estuaries there is an unequipped nudist beach.
Immediately beyond the chain of estuaries, the Middle Spit begins. This is the narrowest part of the Berdyanska spit with a wide sandy beach and a lot of resort infrastructure. Modern recreation centers, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs and summer discos are concentrated here.
The far spit begins near the Velikiy Dzendzik island and is built up by a one-story private sector. In the summer, accommodation is rented here for vacationers, but there is practically no resort infrastructure here. In this part of the Berdyansk Kosa is the oldest lighthouse of the Sea of Azov - the Lower Berdyansky lighthouse.
