To Montenegro with PCR tests
Since June 22, entry for citizens and residents of Ukraine to Montenegro is permitted upon presenting a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 not older than 72 hours. Also, the tourist must not have visited countries in the "red" zone for Montenegro less than 14 days prior.
Usually, many questions arise. So, let's find answers to the main ones:
❓ What specific test needs to be taken?
✅ Montenegro requires the tourist to have a negative PCR test conclusion when crossing the border.
❓ How long is the result valid and from which moment should the countdown begin?
✅ Before taking the test, be sure to clarify with the laboratory which date they indicate in the conclusion - the date of sample collection or the date the result was obtained. Count 72 hours from this date until crossing the Montenegrin border. If the laboratory indicates both dates - then 72 hours can be counted from the date the result was obtained, as indicated on the test.
❓ What language should the test result be in?
✅ The result can be in Ukrainian or Russian, with an English translation if possible, but this is not mandatory. The most important thing is that it clearly states - the date the result was received, that it is specifically a PCR test, and that it is negative!
❓ Must the form have a "wet" stamp?
✅ If the laboratory issues electronic test results on its company letterhead via email or its website - this will be sufficient. Just print it out and take it with you on the flight.
❓ What is the cost of the test and where should it be taken?
✅ The cost of the PCR test in Ukraine depends solely on the laboratory where you take it and mainly ranges from 700 UAH to 2500 UAH. The medical center or laboratory must be accredited by the Ministry of Health and have a license to conduct laboratory tests.
❓ Can citizens of Russia or Belarus who have a residence permit in Ukraine fly to Montenegro?
✅ When making a decision about entry across the state border of Montenegro, the country of residence of the tourist is considered, not their citizenship. For example, if a tourist has a residence permit in Ukraine, but is a citizen of another country not on the list of those permitted to enter Montenegro, their residency is taken into account, not their citizenship. They must also prove that they have been in Ukraine for at least 14 days. Proof is the stamp in the passport.
❓ When will the charter program to Tivat be restored?
✅ The first ALF flight departs from Kyiv as early as July 4. And flights from Odesa and Kharkiv begin on July 18 and 19, respectively.
❓ If the test is positive - what will happen to my tour?
✅ Since 01.06.2020, ALF has included FINANCIAL risk insurance "European Travel Insurance" - ERV, related to trip cancellation or interruption for all new bookings with departure after 01.07.2020 (for package tours). This insurance applies in case of sudden illnesses and it makes no difference whether it is COVID-19 or ARVI.
If your booking was made before 01.06.2020 or if your order consists only of charter tickets and not an entire tour package - you can optionally purchase trip cancellation insurance at a price of 5 USD per person.
The deductible for this insurance is 20%.
