Cancellation of visa fees for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka has canceled the visa fee for citizens of Ukraine.

Since 01.08.2019, the government of Sri Lanka has canceled the visa fee for citizens of 48 countries, including Ukrainians.

According to www.unian.ua, obtaining a visa upon arrival at the airport (for a period up to 30 days) will now be free of charge. Previously, Ukrainians had to pay approximately $40 for a visa at the airport.

The visa fee cancellation is for the next 6 months, after which the government of Sri Lanka will evaluate the effectiveness of this program.

List of 48 countries for which a visa to Sri Lanka will be issued free of charge: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Israel, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, Thailand, Hungary, Ukraine, Philippines, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan.
