New measures in the fight against coronavirus in Montenegro.
🛂 To visit indoor restaurants, cafes, and bars; indoor and outdoor nightclubs and discos; and indoor and outdoor sports events from July 30 to August 20, a digital COVID certificate is required, which must contain one of four options for test or vaccination data.
⚕️ First, this is information about the received vaccination,
secondly, data from a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours,
thirdly - confirmation of recovered COVID (from a positive PCR test) no less than 14 and no more than 180 days ago,
fourthly - a negative rapid antigen test, taken no earlier than 48 hours.
All employees in Montenegro's public catering sector must comply with one of these conditions.
📳 Owners of catering establishments are obliged to appoint a responsible person who will monitor the availability of documents confirming vaccination or negative tests. Control will be carried out using a smartphone that will read the QR code from the COVID certificate.
Visitors must also provide an identity document.
🔞 New rules have been introduced for minors.
Persons under the age of 18 are NOT obliged to comply with these conditions, EXCEPT in cases when they visit discos, nightclubs, or sports events.
🚷 Mass gatherings and festivals that cannot be controlled in a limited space are postponed until after August 20.
As emphasized by the Institute of Public Health, the restrictions were adopted given that mass gatherings of unvaccinated young people contribute most to the spread of the coronavirus.
📲 The National COVID Certificate can be obtained at a medical facility from a doctor or at vaccination centers. The possibility of downloading the document from the eHealth website is also being introduced.
✔️ These rules also apply to foreign citizens (tourists).
The Ministry of Health of Montenegro previously reported that the digital COVID certificates of the EU and other countries that have a QR code are valid on the territory of the country.
Tourists who have a vaccination certificate without a QR code can verify the document at any health care facility, and it will be valid for the entire duration of their stay in Montenegro.
