From March 1, the cost of a tourist visa to Egypt increases: new rules and important nuances
Starting from March 1, 2026, the standard cost of a tourist visa to Egypt upon entry will increase from USD 25 to USD 30.
Important: tourists flying to Sharm El Sheikh for a period of up to 15 days can still receive a free "Sinai Only" stamp. upon arrival.
In case of departure outside the Sinai Peninsula (Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor, etc.), it is necessary to apply for a paid tourist visa.
An important nuance to which we draw your attention:
TWO stamps are pasted into the passport:
- one with a face value of $25.
- an additional stamp with a face value of +5 dollars.
This will be the case until Egypt uses up the entire stock of already printed visas at $25 and prints new visas at $30.
