Current information on the situation in Egypt

Given the current events in the region and the temporary closure of airspace by some neighboring countries, the Ministry of Civil Aviation of Egypt confirms that, at the time of publication of this message, Egyptian airspace is open. All airports in the country, including Cairo, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, are operating normally. According to NOTAM, there are no restrictions on civil flights.

Flight programs at the time of publication are being carried out as planned. Due to increased airspace congestion, minor operational delays of flights are possible.

Our partners on the ground confirm that the situation in the resorts of Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Marsa Alam remains calm, the tourist infrastructure is operating without interruption, and tourists are enjoying their holidays as usual. Enhanced security measures are in place in key tourist areas and areas of historical monuments. However, a temporary restriction applies: excursions to Jerusalem from Sharm el-Sheikh are currently suspended as a preventive measure.
