Antalya prepares to host COP31: high demand for hotels expected in November
From November 9 to 20, 2026, Antalya will host one of the largest international events of the year - COP31 (Conference of the Parties), the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The dates of the conference have been officially confirmed by the UNFCCC. COP31 will also host meetings of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement in Antalya.
The conference will be attended by state delegations, representatives of international organizations, experts, the business community, scientists and public organizations from around the world.
Main location — Antalya EXPO Center
The main negotiations of COP31 will be held in the Blue Zone — the official UNFCCC area, which will only be accessible to accredited participants.
The main venue of the conference will be the Antalya EXPO Center, located in the Aksu district, in the eastern part of Antalya, near the international airport.
For the period of COP31, the organizers plan to introduce a special transport system for conference participants, which should ensure convenient communication between the main accommodation areas and the venue.
Hotels in the region are preparing to receive delegations
The holding of COP31 will also have a significant impact on the hotel market in the region. Hotels in Antalya, Belek and Kemer are already preparing to receive international delegations and conference participants.
A significant increase in demand for accommodation is expected during this period. This is especially true for high-end hotels that can accommodate official delegations and international guests.
For tourists, November 2026 may be a period of limited room availability and increased demand for accommodation. Therefore, those planning a vacation in Antalya, Belek or Kemer from November 9 to 20 are recommended to take care of booking in advance.
COP31 will be an important international event for Turkey and will attract the attention of representatives of dozens of countries around the world to Antalya. The conference will also create an additional burden on the region's tourism and transport infrastructure.
If you are planning a vacation in Turkey in November — we advise you not to postpone your booking. The demand for hotels during this period is expected to be much higher than usual.
