Val Gardena Valley
Selva Gardena, 1563 m above sea level, (in German Volkenstein/Wolkenstein) is the largest town in the valley.
The skiing area is part of the famous Sella Ronda. The town is ideally located in relation to tracks and lifts. You can ski down to almost every hotel.
The resorts of Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena are connected by a system of lifts, and a ski bus (ski-bus) goes regularly to Ortisei.
Selva di Val Gardena is located in the upper part of the valley and is an ideal place for those looking for a refined holiday: it is almost exclusively luxury hotels. Protected by the Sassolungo, Sella and Puez mountain ranges, this sun-drenched area is ideal for winter sports and is considered the best not only in the Val Gardena valley, but in the whole of Alto Adige.
Professionals should pay attention to the world championship course that descends from the top of Ciampina to the town of Santa Cristina. Intermediate skiers will find the long descent from the Danterchepies slope to the Selva Gardena resort interesting.
Popular among them are the tracks in the Alpe di Siusi area above Ortisei.
A very nice descent to Ortisei from the Secheda massif (the route goes through a forest with panoramic views and frozen waterfalls). For beginners, the "kindergartens" in the Selva Gardena area are suitable - these are short tracks with a convenient system of lifts, as well as the Plan di Gralba skiing area (although there is a rather steep descent for beginners from the top of Ciampina).
Ortisei, 1236 m above sea level (in German St. Ulrich / St. Ulrich) is a beautiful old town located in a gentle part of the valley. There are many ski slopes and hiking trails. There is also its own Alpe di Siusi ski area and a lift that leads to the Secheda - Col Riser ski area, from where you can easily get to Sella Ronda with a transfer.
Santa Cristina (1,428 m above sea level) is a small but very popular town where, since 1974, stages of the World Cup have been held annually on the famous Casslong track. Recommended for families and large companies of skiers with different skill levels.

"La Stua" in Selva
Open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Located on Sella Ronda, La Stua is a lovely establishment that is open all day and serves lunch and dinner. Frequent live music events ensure that you will have a great time here. If you're with a group, you can reserve the balcony - it has heated seats, fireplaces and a private bartender!
Tip: La Stua in Selva Val Gardena has an impressive champagne list and is probably Val Gardena's trendiest après-ski venue.
"Luislkeller" in Selva
Open from 15:30. to 1:30 a.m
Located on Sella Ronda and just a two-minute walk from La Stua, Luislkeller has been around for decades. Probably everyone in Val Gardena has walked in this "basement" at least once. Leave your skis at the nearby ski depot and enjoy a day at Luislkeller!
Tip: If it's too crowded for your taste, the Kronestube on the ground floor is a little quieter and serves great sandwiches.
"Ruacia" in S. Christina
It works from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Located at the bottom of the Saslong World Cup piste, Snowbar Ruacia is the last stop for many skiers staying in Santa Cristina (although there is a ski bus stop right in front of the building). Food and beverages are available, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Parties are held every day.
"Siglu" in Ortisei
Open from 15:00. until 1:00 a.m
Located right next to the footbridge that connects downtown Ortisei to the Alpe di Susi cable car, Siglu is an igloo-shaped après-ski spot that's been around for years. Why not stop for a few drinks on the way home? Siglu is the best option for après-ski in Ortisei.
The best discos, après-ski bars and shops are concentrated in the center of Ortisei, so for lovers of active nightlife living in Selva and Santa Cristina, a "night ski-bus" runs every Friday and Saturday.
