Yablunytsia is an ideal place for family vacations
For each of us, the closest and dearest home is the home in which we grew up, in which we spent our best years. It is here that they leave their hearts, here they pour their thoughts from distant cities and countries. The Ukrainian Carpathians are the same home with native walls of mountain peaks and an endless sky overhead instead of a roof. And the local residents are a big friendly family that only gets bigger every year. The mental warmth and harmony that reign here give a feeling of complete happiness. This can be felt only at home, next to the closest people. Therefore, the Carpathians are becoming the most favorite vacation spot for children and adults.
To feel the magical influence of the family hearth of Carpathian families, you need to visit the resort village of Yablunytsia. It belongs to the Yaremcha City Council and is located 35 km from Yaremche. Yablunytsia is a kind of crossing point from Ivano-Frankivsk to Zakarpattia Oblast. The area in which the settlement is located is protected, its height above sea level is 960 m. The nearest railway station is 8 km away from the village of Tatariv. The Ivano-Frankivsk - Uzhhorod highway passes through Yablunitsa.
The apple tree is not like any of its mountain counterparts. Instead of streets in the village there are gruns (plots). There are as many as 11 of them here, and each of them has its own special name, which arose for a reason. Certain stories and legends are associated with this or that corner of the village.
The modern name of the village arose from the peak of Yablunytsia (1008 m). Another historical name of the village is "Tatar Pass" - that is, the easiest and lowest path along the mountain ridge.
Rest in Yablunytsia
The mild climate in Yablunytsia is favorable for the resort. The village is protected on all sides from the cold winds by the Hamyak peak in the North, Magura mountain in the East, Hoverla and Petros peaks in the South, Popaddea and Dovbushanka in the West. In addition, the slopes of the peaks are ideal ski slopes, which are so loved by fans of active recreation on skis and sleds.
