The Mezhhirya resort is located in the valley of the Rika River, in the Mezhhirya basin, which is surrounded by the Borzhava mountain range (from the west) and the Inner Gorgans (from the east). Height - 450 m above sea level.
Popular tourist routes to Kolochava pass through the village - the village of 10 museums, Lake Synevyr, the Synevyr National Medical Rehabilitation Park and the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center. Skiing enthusiasts can use the lift leading to Mount Makovytsia (750 m). Along the lift there are tracks for professionals and of medium difficulty.
Between the village of Synevyr and Mezhyhirya is the Synevyr pass (793 m above sea level), which is also called "Mezhyhirskyi". The road leading through the pass offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains in good weather.
In the center of the village you can see a natural monument of local importance - an oak tree over 500 years old (N48.528533 E23.500219).
Mizhhirya is the birthplace of the first Transcarpathian poet who wrote in the Ukrainian literary language - Vasyl Grenji-Donskyi. The president of Carpathian Ukraine Augustyna Voloshyna was also born here.
