Biela is a village in Montenegro, located on the shore of the Bay of Kotor. Tivat is directly opposite it, Gergets-Novi is 5 km away.
The village has an elongated shape along the coast. Almost all the houses are on the first coastline, some have been converted into hotels, many are rented out.
You can get to the sea from almost any point in Biela in just 5 minutes. Sometimes all you need to do is cross the road or walk down a couple of streets.
A promenade stretches along the coast of Biela, great for walking. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops on the embankment, there is one market where fresh vegetables, fruits and seafood are sold.
Most of the locals earn their living by fishing, and therefore often move between Biela and the neighboring islets. For a fee, local fishermen will take you to the Island of Flowers or Ottik, which are considered natural attractions of Montenegro. There is plenty of fishing, swimming and sunbathing on the islands.
There are no clubs or entertainment centers in the village, so Biela is not at all suitable for lovers of nightlife. For wild fun, it is better to go to neighboring cities: Herceg-Novi or Tivat. An even better option would be a trip to Budva.
It is important to keep in mind that Biela is primarily a coastal resort. The beach is his main pastime. This place will not appeal to those who prefer active recreation with excursions and sightseeing.
Bijela has one municipal beach that remains clean and well-kept even until the end of the tourist season. The beach is sand-pebble and concrete areas.
The water in the Bay of Kotor warms up well, the entrance to the sea is gentle, waves are rare. The beach is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers and toilets.
Biela is a resort often visited by families with children. It is warm, sunny, quiet, clean and cozy - what you need for a good beach holiday.
