Montenegro is known to everyone as a country of summer resorts, sea, beaches and warmth. And among Russian-speaking tourists, few people know that ski tourism has been developing in the mountains of Montenegro for many years.Montenegro in winter also has its own charm, and it has something to please lovers of alpine skiing. Kolasin is one of the two ski resorts in Montenegro. And probably the most developed and equipped resort.
The cozy town of Kolasyn is surrounded by mountain ranges of Komovi, Sinyavina, Belasitsa, and ancient forests.Podhirtsi is 70 km away. The distance between the resort and the coast of Montenegro is 150 km.
Due to the small differences in altitude and the variety of slopes, the Kolasin ski resort is ideal for both beginners and intermediate skiers. However, even an experienced rider will find something interesting for himself: freestyle tracks and some virgin land. But absolutely every guest of the Kolashyn resort will be fascinated by the beauty of these places. So that everyone will be satisfied.
The season in Kolasin usually starts at the end of December and lasts until the beginning or middle of April. However, there is a chance that there will be little snow in Kolasin during the New Year holidays.Still, the height is small. But from the middle of January to the end of March, there will be snow.
The slopes of the ski resort "Ski Resort KOLASIN 1450" are located 10.5 km from the city of Kolasin, and the slopes of the "Kolasin 1600 Ski center" are 13 km away.
In the ski resort "Kolasin 1450" there are a total of 7 pistes, taking into account transitions from pistes to pistes. All of them are cut in the forest and intertwined, which allows you to change the descent route every time. The lowest point is 1450 meters above sea level. The highest is 1973 meters. But the vast majority of people start their descent from a height of about 1840-1850 meters. The virgin is only in the valleys under the lifts and on the peaks where there is no forest. There are absolutely no instructors who can guide you through the wilderness.
"Kolasin 1600" ski resort is 2.6 km from "Kolasin 1450". The ski areas of the resorts are connected by a new 6-seater chairlift.
The ski area of the new resort is the southern slope of Mount Belasitsa. The tracks start right from the base village. The "official" top point of the resort is 1,600 meters, but the ropeway already stretches higher, to the very peak of Troglav (2,034 meters).
For 2020, there are already two fully equipped tracks with a total length of 4,600 meters. The blue track for beginners, 3 km long, is a fairly easy route with a slight difference in altitude. And the red one - about 2 km, designed for experienced extreme fans. The Kolasin 1600 ski center will have 10.5 km of ski tracks by the upcoming winter season 2020/21.
The resort is planned to expand in the future. At least 8 tracks are planned to be equipped in the near future.
There are 5 lifts at the Kolasyn 1450 ski resort, not counting the children's lift. Three trumpets (No. 4, 3, 5) and two armchairs (Nos. 1, 2). Lift No. 1 is the most popular in the resort. This is a modern 6-seater chairlift that takes you to the top in 6 minutes. Due to the high bandwidth, it is impossible to stand in front of it for more than three minutes. Bugel lift #4 works non-stop and is very popular because all the beginners climb it. With the maximum influx of people, you can stand in line for no more than 5-7 minutes. Bugel #3 is usually included when there are a lot of riders. Bugel lift No. 5 at the very peak is included the least often. Only when there is a lot of riding and good, clear weather. Chair lift No. 2 is the "old soul" of this resort. Lifts two at a time on a chair, walks slowly, has the opportunity to get off halfway. It will take about 20 minutes to reach the peak. There is never a queue for it. Turn on the lift almost always when the weather is clear at the top.
