Bar Riviera is the southern region of the country and one of the sunniest places in Montenegro, the holiday season here begins in May and lasts until the beginning of October. Bar Riviera is a less popular place than Budva Riviera, although it is also very picturesque, with beautiful nature, excellent ecology and pleasant beaches for every taste.
Compared to other tourist areas of Montenegro, the Bar Riviera is more democratic and less well-known, and offers a choice: to rest in a quiet place or a lively one. The main reasons why you should come here: transparent sea, the cleanest air and extremely beautiful nature!

If you choose a vacation on the Bar Riviera based on a budget, you need to know some features of the resorts, for example, Chan - a small settlement with a beach 1.5 kilometers away, it is suitable for everyone who wants to live in a quiet place. There are no large supermarkets here, but products can be bought in simple stores. The most interesting thing in Chania is the pearl beach made of sand and pebbles. Nearby there are several private or even completely wild beaches, one of them is the Queen's Beach. Another plus - eucalyptus and cypresses almost near the shore. Otherwise, the Montenegrin village of Chan cannot boast of diversity.
The Sutomore resort is most suitable for a family, pure beach vacation, which attracts tourists with its peace and comfort. They go here not for wild fun, but for a leisurely beach vacation, complemented by long walks and visits to historical places.
The city of Bar is not only a resort, but also a transport hub of the country, the port of Montenegro is located in this city, the railway and highways converge here. All in all, it turns out to be almost an important strategic point.
In terms of beaches, Bar is a fairly ordinary resort, there is nothing special here, the beaches are even a little worse than the average in the country, but in the city you can see the ruins of the old city - very beautiful and unusual.
Dobra Voda is a small resort village between Bar and Ulcinj. It is about 11 km to Bar. Suitable for quiet rest. There are several small pebble beaches with a gentle entrance to the sea, comfortable for recreation with children. There are no monuments here, well, if you don't take into account Abramovich's villa.

Everything is perfect with the beaches in the Bar Riviera, the beaches are good, equipped with everything necessary for recreation. One of the popular ones is the "Royal Beach", it is located near Bar, in the village of Chan, you need to visit it at least once, otherwise the assessment of the natural attractions of the region will be incomplete. The beach is located in a secluded bay and is surrounded by perpendicular rocks. This place is very beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and the water is clear. The beach is sandy and pebbled.
You can get to this beach only by boat, a regular connection between the beach and the mainland of Montenegro is organized from the village of Can.
There is another beach in Chania - Pearl Beach, which is also very famous. The beach covers 1,800 meters of coastline.
There is a famous Zhukotrlitsa beach in the village of Shushan. This beach is about a kilometer long. The place is quite interesting and cute, mainly because there is a pine forest right behind the beach.
Malevik beach is located near Sutomore, it is pebbly. Next to this beach is also a nudist beach.
Red beach is located next to the Bar, it is not difficult to walk. It got its name because the sand on the beach has a red tint. There are significantly fewer people here than on the city beach in Bari. In the recent past, it was an almost wild beach, but nowadays the infrastructure on it is developing rapidly.
The city beach of Bara is located not far from Mykola's Palace and is 750 meters long. There are large pebbles on the beach.
The beach season in the Bar Riviera starts at the beginning of May and ends at the beginning of October. Already in May, the water warms up to 19-20 ° C and by mid-June it warms up to a comfortable + 23 ° C, in July-August the water becomes a characteristic 25-26 ° C, in October - 21.5 ° C.

A small local bus runs from Chan village through Sutomore, Shushan, all of Bar (with a stop at the Bar bus station) and to Old Bar.
This bus makes a small detour in front of the final station (Stariy Bar) and takes everyone to Stariy Maslyna.The fare from the Bar to the Old Bar and the olive tree is no more than 1 euro.
This bus runs every half hour during the season.
From the city of Bar there is a ferry connection with the city of Bari in Italy, the ferry covers 200 km by sea.Travelers spend 7 hours on the road.It is important to remember that citizens of Ukraine need a biometric passport or a Schengen visa to visit Italy.
Bar also has a railway, trains arrive on the Belgrade-Bar connection.
In general, the Bar Riviera is suitable for those with a car, as it will be possible to drive independently to the sights.For hikers, it will not be very comfortable here, it is far from Budva and the main attractions.
